Sean Monahan is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL). After playing junior ice hockey with the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and serving as team captain, Monahan was selected sixth overall by the Calgary Flames in the 2013 NHL entry draft, and played nine seasons with the Flames before subsequent trades to the Montreal Canadiens and Winnipeg Jets.
