Early Life and Background

Tristin English was born in the United States and raised in Zebulon, Georgia. He attended Pike County High School, where he excelled in baseball. As a senior in 2015, he achieved a remarkable batting average of .632, hitting seven home runs and driving in 45 runs batted in (RBIs). His performance garnered attention, leading to his selection by the Cleveland Indians in the 39th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft. However, English chose to pursue his education and baseball career at Georgia Tech instead.

Path to Baseball

At Georgia Tech, Tristin English played for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, where he continued to demonstrate his skills on the field. In his freshman year in 2016, he batted .315 with five home runs and 44 RBIs. Unfortunately, he faced a setback in 2017 when he underwent Tommy John surgery, which sidelined him for the entire season. English returned to form in 2018, playing summer baseball for the Chatham Anglers in the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he was recognized as a league all-star. By 2019, he had an impressive season at Georgia Tech, hitting .346 with 18 home runs and 71 RBIs over 58 games, which solidified his reputation as a promising player.

Early Career (2019-2021)

Tristin English’s professional career began when the Arizona Diamondbacks selected him in the third round of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft. He signed with the team and made his professional debut with the Hillsboro Hops, where he made an immediate impact by batting .290 with seven home runs and thirty RBIs over fifty games. However, the 2020 season was a challenging year for many players, including English, as the minor league season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Breakthrough (2022-2025)

English returned to the Hillsboro Hops for the 2021 season, where he batted .242 with ten home runs and 48 RBIs over 83 games. The following year, he split his time between the Hillsboro Hops and the Amarillo Sod Poodles, achieving a combined batting average of .269 with 12 home runs and 49 RBIs over 104 games. In 2023, he opened the season with Amarillo but was promoted to the Reno Aces in early May. His performance was impressive, as he batted .300 with 23 home runs and 93 RBIs over 102 games between both teams. English continued to build on his success in 2024, hitting .263 with 16 home runs and 63 RBIs over 111 games.
