Early Life and Background

Ty Adcock graduated from South Granville High School in Creedmoor, North Carolina. His early exposure to baseball came during his high school years, where he developed his skills as a pitcher. Following high school, Adcock attended Elon University, where he played college baseball for the Elon Phoenix. Adcock’s breakthrough came on June 12, 2023, when he was promoted to the major leagues for the first time after being selected to the 40-man roster. In his MLB debut, he threw two scoreless innings without allowing a base runner, showcasing his potential as a reliable pitcher. Over the course of the 2023 season, he made 12 appearances for the Mariners, posting a 3.45 earned run average with 11 strikeouts across 15.2 innings of work.
