Early Life and Background

Viktória Hrunčáková was born in Košice, Slovakia, to parents Ingrid and Radovan. She has a younger sister, Katarina, who also pursued a career in professional tennis. Hrunčáková was introduced to tennis at the age of four by her father, who ran a tennis club. Her early exposure to the sport laid the foundation for her future career. She began playing on the ITF Junior Circuit in January 2012 at the age of 13, quickly making a name for herself in junior competitions.

Hrunčáková reached a career-high ranking of No. 24 as a junior. She won her first singles and doubles titles at the Grade-5 Mostar Open in 2012.
