
The 2025 CIBC Texas Open, held from March 12 to 16 at The Courts of McKinney, was a thrilling stop on the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour. This prestigious event brought together over 1,300 competitors for an exciting competition that showcased some of the best pickleball talent in the world.
Despite challenging 40 mph winds, the event maintained its outdoor play and introduced cutting-edge technology, including the SpotON video replay system, to ensure officiating accuracy. Spectators were able to follow the action live on PickleballTV, FS1, and FS2, making it a memorable event for players and fans.

Tournament Format
The tournament followed different formats depending on the category. Amateur and Junior events used Double Elimination with No Come-Around for larger brackets, while smaller divisions played round-robin with Playoffs. Senior Open events followed Double Elimination, with round-robin for smaller divisions.
Pro divisions used Single Elimination, with qualifying rounds for certain events. Matches were typically played best of three games to 11, win by 2, with best-of-five for doubles finals on Championship Sunday. The Money Ball PPA Bracket, for players rated 6.0 and under, featured a $1,000 prize pool.
