2025 World Pickleball League
India hosted the 2025 World Pickleball League at the Cricket Club of India (Brabourne Stadium) in Mumbai from January 24 to February 2. The league aimed to promote pickleball in India and attract more attention to the growing recreational sport.
2025 World Pickleball League Team Owners
Mumbai Pickle Power is owned by Swiggy and cricketer Rishabh Pant. Bengaluru Jawans is owned by film director Atlee and his wife, Priya Atlee. Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu owns Chennai Super Champs.
Pune United has multiple owners, including Sudhir and Sunanda Mehta from EKA Mobility and Pinnacle Industries, Ajeenkya and Pooja Patil from Ajeenkya DY Patil University, and actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh.
Hyderabad Superstars is owned by KLO Sports. Dilli Dilwale is owned by film producer Ashok Amritraj, investors Ankiti Bose and Krishan Rattan of Terra Invest, and cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar.
2025 World Pickleball League Teams
The 2025 World Pickleball League had six teams: Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Delhi. Each team picked players to compete in the tournament. In total, 48 players were selected to take part in the league.
