Ella Shelton is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Toronto Sceptres of the PWHL. Born in Ingersoll, Ontario, she played junior hockey for the London Jr. Devilettes and went on to captain Clarkson University, winning a national championship in 2017. Drafted fourth overall by PWHL New York in 2023, she scored the first goal in PWHL history on January 1, 2024, and was later traded to Toronto in June 2025. Internationally, Shelton represents Canada at the IIHF Women’s World Championships and the 2022 and 2026 Winter Olympics.
