Born and raised in San Jose, California, Felicity attended Archbishop Mitty High School. She was ranked #15 nationally and #2 in California as a tennis prospect. She played for Texas Tech University from 2015 to 2019, achieving an 84–37 singles record and 86–32 doubles record. Felicity helped lead her team to three NCAA Elite Eight appearances and a Big 12 Championship in 2017. She was the first player in program history to reach the NCAA singles quarterfinals in 2019 and earned several honors, including ITA All-American and Big 12 Player of the Year.
