Jack Thompson is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman born on March 19, 2002, in Courtice, Ontario. Selected 93rd overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, he developed through the Ontario Hockey League with the Sudbury Wolves and later suited up for Surahammars IF in Sweden. After signing an entry-level contract in 2021, Thompson made his NHL debut with the Lightning on January 6, 2024, before being traded to the San Jose Sharks. He now plays for the Abbotsford Canucks of the AHL under contract to the Vancouver Canucks.
