John Stevens is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former NHL defenceman. Born May 4, 1966, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in 1984 and went on to play for the Flyers and Hartford Whalers organizations before a career-ending eye injury forced his retirement in 1999. Stevens built a long coaching resume as head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers (2006–2009) and the Los Angeles Kings (2017–2018), and as an assistant with the Kings and Vegas Golden Knights, winning Stanley Cup championships in 2012, 2014, and 2023.
