Rachel Rohrabacher was born in Tampa, Florida, in 1997. Growing up, she displayed athleticism through her early involvement in tennis and gymnastics. By age 12, she shifted her focus entirely to tennis, ultimately earning a full scholarship to the University of South Carolina. In addition to her athletic success, Rachel prioritized education, completing her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and later earning a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida. She aspires to establish a career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Rachel Rohrabacher’s Pickleball Career
Rachel Rohrabacher’s journey into pickleball began after completing her college education. Initially introduced to the sport by her junior tennis coach, she fully committed to professional pickleball in 2023. Her rapid rise in the sport led her to join the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour and to be drafted by the Orlando Squeeze in the Major League Pickleball (MLP) Premier Draft.
Rachel’s competitive streak became evident early in her pickleball career. In 2024, partnering with Anna Bright, she claimed the women’s doubles title at the Veolia Houston Open, marking their third championship of the year without dropping a single game.
Rachel is sponsored by Selkirk Sport and competes with the Selkirk Halo XL paddle. Her current PPA rankings include #8 in Women’s Doubles and #10 in Mixed Doubles as of 2024.
