Samantha Parker is a rising star in the world of professional pickleball. Originally from Grapevine, Texas, she made a smooth transition from collegiate tennis to professional pickleball in 2023. Known for her strategic thinking, competitive edge, and athleticism, Parker has become one of the notable new faces on the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour and in Major League Pickleball (MLP).

Early Life

Samantha Parker was born and raised in Grapevine, Texas. She started playing tennis at the age of four, guided by her father, Bill. Alongside her interest in sports, she spent 12 years studying Tae Kwon Do, ultimately earning a second-degree black belt. During her time at Grapevine High School, she led the tennis team to consecutive Texas 5A state championships and was ranked 174 nationally in tennis during her senior year.

Family Life

Samantha currently lives in her hometown of Grapevine, Texas, with her husband, Vaughn. Her father played a critical role in her early athletic development. Outside of her career, Samantha enjoys cooking, baking, and playing video games, reflecting a well-rounded and grounded lifestyle beyond the court.

Tennis Career

Samantha started her collegiate tennis journey at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith (UAFS) in 2017, playing No. 2 singles and top doubles. She was named Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year. Later, she transferred to the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), majoring in Computer Science. While at UTD, she became a two-time ITA All-American and helped lead the team to the NCAA Division III Tournament semifinals in women’s doubles.

Pickleball Career

Samantha was introduced to pickleball in September 2022 and began competing professionally by the middle of 2023. Her breakout moment came at the PPA Houston Open, where she earned a silver medal in women’s singles. She has since participated in 23 professional events, recording 37 wins and 50 losses across singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. As of 2025, she is a team member of the Orlando Squeeze in Major League Pickleball.
