Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Tyler Loong began playing tennis at the age of seven. His talent in the sport led him to compete at the Division I level during his first year at Brigham Young University (BYU), where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Loong’s transition to pickleball occurred in 2014 when his neighbor introduced him to the game, sparking a passion that would define his professional career.
