Columbia County Welcomes Indoor Pickleball Court For Local Enthusiasts

Columbia County Welcomes Indoor Pickleball Court: America’s fastest-growing sport, pickleball, now celebrates its first indoor facility in Columbia County with the launch of Dink’d Pickleball. Since its grand opening on Monday, Dink’d Pickleball has offered numerous services for the local pickleball community, especially for those looking to escape the summer heat. Located at 500 Fury’s Ferry Road, next to the new hardware store, Dink’d features nine courts, a full-service kitchen and bar, a pro shop, a ping pong corner, event spaces, and more.

Dink’d offer memberships, open play, clinics, and lessons. For those without their own equipment, Dink’d offer everything they need.

.“We really want to teach people how to play, like the rules, the scoring, the procedure, how to stand. We’ll go over all that stuff, You can go online to our website and figure out when those classes are and just sign up.” – (Vu Nguyen)

“Augusta has needed this for a long time. Dink’d checks all the boxes, combining all the features of other venues. It offers outdoor court surfaces without the outdoor elements.” – (Anne Rheins)

Rheins has been playing and teaching pickleball since 2015, introducing the sport to many, including Kati Smallwood.

“My favorite thing about pickleball is that it’s a sport for everyone—any shape, size, age, or background.” – (Smallwood )

Staff and players at Dink’d hope its impact will be significant, providing an economic boost to the shopping center, promoting beneficial exercise, and offering a place to build bonds.

“To have a facility like this in the area is just gonna serve the pickleball community, and the community as a whole as a fun entertainment option for people to come out and learn the sport. And I guarantee you’ll fall in love with it.” – (Clemente)

Dink’d and Fury’s Ferry Hardware’s open house is on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., where anyone can play for free, eat, and socialize.
