Electric Pickle Arrives in Tempe as the Topgolf of Pickleball

Electric Pickle Arrives in Tempe: In an exciting development for pickleball enthusiasts and entertainment seekers, the much-anticipated Electric Pickle is gearing up to make its debut in south Tempe later this year. Positioned strategically near IKEA and Main Event at Warner and I-10, this venue aims to be a game-changer in the world of recreational sports and dining.

The Electric Pickle, often dubbed the “Topgolf of Pickleball,” represents a bold fusion of a bar, restaurant, and pickleball courts under one roof. With construction well underway since its groundbreaking over a year ago, the project is set to transform the area, filling the void left by the recently closed Picklemall.

The venue will feature a blend of indoor and outdoor dining spaces, two bars, a pro shop, and nine pickleball courts. This ambitious setup is designed to cater to all the casual diners and serious players, offering a comprehensive entertainment experience.

Backing and Concept

The concept has garnered significant backing from Eureka! Restaurant Group, known for their successful ventures in the restaurant industry. Eureka! opened its first Arizona location in Tempe’s Novus Place earlier this year and is now expanding its footprint with the Electric Pickle.

As Electric Pickle Arrives in Tempe, Paul Frederick, founder of Eureka!, has articulated a clear vision for the venue. Frederick stated to the Phoenix Business Journal that the goal is to create a fun, high-energy food and beverage experience with this giant entertainment concept.

Anticipation and Delays

Originally announced in 2021 with aspirations for a 2022 or 2023 opening, the Electric Pickle has faced several delays. The latest projections indicate a winter 2024 launch, as per the venue’s Instagram updates.

Despite these setbacks, the signage at the construction site still optimistically reads “Spring 2024,” reflecting the developers’ continued commitment to bringing this innovative concept to life.
