DUPR Collegiate Florida Super Regional Begins from September 21

The DUPR Collegiate Florida Super Regional returns to Port Saint Lucie, Florida, promising another thrilling collegiate pickleball showdown. Scheduled for September 21-22, 2024, this tournament is assured to be a significant event in the collegiate pickleball calendar. With registration open until September 11, teams are encouraged to secure their spots promptly.

DUPR Collegiate Florida Super Regional Format and Prize Pool

The tournament features a dynamic format combining Team Pickleball with Set Partner Pool Play and Single Elimination Brackets. Each team, comprising 4-6 players, will engage in Women’s, Men’s, and Mixed Doubles matches.

Teams are split into groups based on DUPR rankings to ensure competitive balance, with the top 16 teams advancing to a separate playoff bracket. Notably, the top 4 teams in the Team Bracket will earn bids to the 2024 Collegiate National Championship. The prize pool of $6000 will be distributed among the top 8 teams and the challenger bracket winners.

Challenger Bracket and Additional Details

For teams unable to compete in the main bracket, a Challenger Bracket will be available. This bracket will feature group play followed by playoffs, including Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles. Teams in the Challenger Bracket are limited to one bracket, with no crossover allowed between the Team and Challenger Brackets. Teams not advancing to the playoffs will have the opportunity to compete in a consolation match.

Schedule and Entry Requirements

The event kicks off on September 21 with group play from 10 AM to 7 PM and concludes on September 22 with playoff rounds from 8 AM to 2 PM. All college students enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at their institution are eligible to participate, with the stipulation that players must be from the same school. No geographic restrictions apply to club participation.

Scholarship Awards

Scholarship funds totaling $6000 will be awarded, with $2500 for 1st place, $1250 for 2nd, and $500 for 3rd and 4th places in the Team Bracket. The Challenger Bracket winner will receive $250.  Participants should note that photos and videos from the event may be used for DUPR’s promotional purposes, and no refunds will be issued after registration closes.
