Lakeshore Pickleball Classic 2024: The Lakeshore Pickleball Club Classic is gearing up to hit the courts in Grand Haven, Michigan, with the tournament scheduled for September 21-22, 2024. This event promises to be a focal point for pickleball enthusiasts, drawing players from across the region for two days of competitive play.

The tournament will be hosted at Mulligan’s Hollow, a facility known for its ample outdoor courts and community atmosphere. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Grand Haven, the event is exclusively for Lakeshore Pickleball Club (LPC) members. Players interested in participating must first secure membership, with annual dues set at $25. Membership verification is required for final entry approval.

Registration for the tournament is now open and will close on September 8, 2024. Participants can register for individual events for $30, or opt for both days of competition for a total fee of $40. Women’s and men’s doubles matches are scheduled for Saturday, while mixed doubles will take place on Sunday.

Players should note that registration each morning starts at 8:15 AM, with matches beginning at 9:00 AM. Players must complete check-in 30 to 45 minutes before their scheduled match times, as start times may shift based on the pace of earlier games. For women’s doubles, matches start promptly at 9:00 AM, while men’s doubles will commence around noon. Mixed doubles will follow on Sunday morning.

The tournament format features a round-robin structure, guaranteeing each participant at least four matches. Players will compete at the skill level of their higher-rated partner, and age brackets will be determined by the younger partner. Matches will be played in a best-of-three format, with games to 11 points, and no requirement to win by 2.

The Franklin X-40 Pickleball will be the official ball used throughout the tournament. Participants will be provided with bottled water, food bars, and fruit. A complimentary tournament T-shirt will also be included with registration, though shirts will not be available for those who register after August 23, 2024. Parking is conveniently located adjacent to the courts, and pets are allowed.

Participants are reminded to sign a waiver on the day of registration. Refunds will be available, less a registration fee, until August 23, 2024. No refunds will be provided for weather-related cancellations, and no refunds will be issued after August 23, 2024.
