Harvest Pickleball Tournament Set to Serve Up Action from October 11

The 2024 Skagit Valley Harvest Pickleball Tournament is set to return to the Blackburn Pavilion in Mount Vernon, Washington, from October 11 to 13, 2024. This highly anticipated event promises to deliver exciting competition and community spirit in a vibrant setting. However, players should act swiftly, as many events are nearing capacity.

With the tournament’s flexible age groups, participants can look forward to more games and better matchups. All Women’s Doubles events for Friday are currently full. New registrations will be placed on a waiting list, so players are encouraged to secure their spots quickly after October 1st. Similarly, Sunday’s Men’s Doubles have reached capacity, and Saturday’s Mixed Doubles are fully booked.

The pickleball tournament will feature a round-robin format, ending in playoffs for gold, silver, and bronze medals for the top three finishers. Here’s a brief overview of the event schedule:

  • Friday, October 11: Women’s Doubles (age brackets: 49 and under, 50-59, 60-69, 70+)
  • Saturday, October 12: Mixed Doubles (age brackets: 49 and under, 50-59, 60-69, 70+)
  • Sunday, October 13: Men’s Doubles (age brackets: 49 and under, 50-59, 60-69, 70+)

Registration Details

  • Early Bird Registration (from August 7): $50 + event fees
  • Regular Registration (from August 21): $65 + event fees
  • Late Registration (from October 1): $80 + event fees
  • Each event incurs a $20 fee, with a non-refundable service fee through Pickleball Inc.

Participants are reminded that only two events per player are allowed due to the limited number of courts available. To ensure all matches have officiating, players are encouraged to register online and assist in securing referees for medal matches.

For those interested in the venue, the Blackburn Pavilion boasts a pickleball hardcourt surface in an outdoor covered play area. The facility offers 10 permanent courts, all equipped with Franklin X40 balls, and parking is complimentary.

Refund Policy

  • A $20 administrative fee will be deducted for all refunds.
  • After September 30, all refunds will be capped at 50%.
  • No refunds will be granted after October 7.
