The Montgomery County Pickleball Cup is ready to take place on October 19, 2024, at the April Sound Country Club, located at 1000 April Sound Blvd, Montgomery, Texas, 77356. This exciting pickleball tournament adopts a Ryder Cup-style format, featuring six local pickleball groups from southeast Texas. The participating clubs include April Sound, Walden, Bentwater Country Clubs on Lake Conroe, The Woodlands Country Club, High Meadow Ranch of Magnolia, and the Navasota Pickleball Group.
Competition Format
This one-day morning event will see each club fielding three teams of men’s and women’s doubles, all vying for points towards the coveted “April Sound Cup” trophy. The club that accumulates the most points will be awarded the trophy. Scoring will be as follows:
first-place teams will earn five points, second-place teams will earn three points, and third-place teams will receive one point. Clubs can register as many as two groups of teams, depending on availability.
A designated Team Captain will coordinate each team and manage the distribution of registration codes for this private event. All players are required to register online through PickleballBrackets.com.
Additional Information
Participants can look forward to lunch provided by April Sound Country Club, along with hydration packets and sponsored giveaways. It is important to note that no outside food or drink is permitted inside the April Sound Tennis/Pickleball facility, with exceptions made for light snacks and water.
The venue boasts 16 pickleball courts, including eight covered courts, available from 8 am to 12 pm. Restroom facilities will be onsite to ensure player comfort.
Refund Policy and Weather Considerations
Refunds will be granted up to one week prior to the tournament. With the availability of eight covered courts, the event will commence rain or shine, although adjustments to the schedule may be made in the event of inclement weather.

The April Sound Country Club features a concrete surface for its courts, which are outdoor covered. Players will use Diadem Power Pro balls, and parking will be available at no cost.
