Pickleball Tournament in Wilmington Set for October 19

Pickleball Tournament in Wilmington: The Fall Pickleball Tournament 2024 is set to take place on October 19, 2024, at the Siegel JCC, located at 101 Garden of Eden Rd, Wilmington, Delaware, 19803. This exciting event promises a day filled with competitive play and festive activities, bringing together pickleball enthusiasts for a memorable tournament experience.

Tournament Format

The tournament will feature men’s doubles and women’s doubles matches in the morning, with mixed doubles (optional) scheduled for the afternoon. Participants can sign up for both events at no additional cost. Each competitor is guaranteed a minimum of three games.

Matches will follow a Round Robin format, with each game played to 15 points, winning by 2. The playoffs will continue in the same format, resulting in the final and semifinal matches, which will follow a traditional best of three format, with games played to 11 points, also winning by 2.

DUPR Registration Requirement

All results from the tournament will be recorded in the DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) system. Participants must join the PlayersClubPickleball in DUPR before the event. Pickleball players without a DUPR account are advised to create one ahead of tournament day to ensure a smooth experience.

Venue Information

The Siegel JCC features 8 permanent pickleball courts and 2 temporary outdoor courts, providing ample space for participants. Matches will be played on hardcourt surfaces, utilizing Franklin balls, with all courts equipped with permanent nets. Parking is available at no cost, ensuring easy access for all attendees.
