World Pickleball Championship Set for Mumbai for the 1st Time as Global Talent Converges

World Pickleball Championship Set for Mumbai: The World Pickleball Championship (WPC) Series is ready to take place in Mumbai from November 12-17, as announced by the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) on Tuesday. This prestigious pickleball event will show the growing global appeal of pickleball, bringing together talent from around the world.

Previous Successes and Participation

Previously hosted in Vietnam and Bali, the championship saw Indian teams clinching several medals, a testament to the country’s rising skills in the sport. The Mumbai leg, powered by the World Pickleball League (WPBL), is expected to attract nearly 650 players from countries including Australia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Poland, and Singapore, among others.

“This is not only a great opportunity for the Pickleball community to witness global talent on an Indian stage, but also a chance for us to promote the growth of the sport at all levels.” stated AIPA president Arvind Prabhoo in a release. This event serves as a pivotal moment for the sport’s development in India.
