BUHS Pickleball Fundraiser: On Saturday, October 12th, the BUHS Girls’ Tennis team organized a successful pickleball fundraiser, drawing in approximately 50 to 60 participants across six competitive divisions. The event not only showed the growing popularity of pickleball but also fostered a sense of community spirit as players rallied for a good cause.
Acknowledgments to Volunteers
The team expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated, volunteered, and generously donated prizes for the raffle. Special thanks went to Mike Brown, Ron Borin, John McDermott, Cara Borin, Kerry Benjamin, and Georgann Stottlemeyer, who dedicated countless hours chalking the pickleball courts in preparation for the event.
Additionally, the City of Bishop’s Waylon Cleland and Karey Poole were acknowledged for their invaluable assistance with park facilities and the necessary paperwork.
More recognition went to Ron Borin, Pam Rake, Emily Norcross, and Kathy Evans from KV, along with those who assisted at the registration desk, including Thomas Stone, Kerry, Irene, Kim, and Bob, for their efforts in cleaning the courts.
