The Mighty Peace Paddle Battle Pickleball Tournament will take place from April 11-13, 2025, at the Baytex Energy Center in Peace River, Alberta. This pickleball event will feature men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles competitions across various skill levels and age categories.
Event Details
The tournament will be held at the Baytex Energy Center, located at 102 Ave in Peace River. Registration opens on December 10, 2024, and ends on April 4, 2025. The cost to enter is CAD 70 for one event, with an additional CAD 30 for each extra event.
Competition Format
The Mighty Peace Pickleball Club is hosting the event, which includes men’s doubles, mixed doubles, and women’s doubles. The competition will be organized by age and skill levels, including categories for players aged 10-49, 50-59, and 60+, as well as skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+.
Matches will be played in a round-robin format, with teams advancing based on pool play results. If fewer than four teams are in a pool, a single round-robin bracket will be used. All matches will be one game to 15 points, with a win-by-2 rule, while gold medal matches will be best two-out-of-three, with games to 11.
Registration and Refund Policy
To secure a spot, both players must register and pay within seven days of the first player’s registration. If only one player registers, the team will be placed on the waitlist. Players can cancel their registration for a full refund minus a $25 fee until April 4, 2025. After this date, no refunds will be issued.
Venue and Amenities
The Baytex Energy Center offers six indoor courts with synthetic acrylic surfaces and uses Franklin X-40 orange outdoor balls. There is no parking fee, and parking is free on-site.
