Jason White Bio
Jason M. White (born May 3, 1973) is a Canadian professional stock car racing driver. He has built a long career in regional and national touring series, competing across Canada and the United States. White is best known for his long-running efforts in the NASCAR Canada Series, along with part-time stints in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the ARCA Menards Series.
Early Life and Background
Jason M. White was born on May 3, 1973, in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. He grew up in the western part of Canada, where short-track racing has long been a part of the local sports culture. From an early age, White was drawn to cars and competition, laying the groundwork for a career that would eventually take him into national NASCAR series.
White later settled in Sun Peaks, British Columbia, where he continues to reside. His family has been closely tied to his racing program, with his wife, Melissa McKenzie, listed as the owner of the car he has campaigned in Canada. White is a father of three children, and his home base in British Columbia has remained a steady anchor throughout a career that has required frequent travel across North America.
Path to NASCAR
Before reaching NASCAR, White developed his skills on the short tracks of the United States and Canadian West Coasts. In the early portions of his career, he raced super modified, mini-sprint, and street stock cars, building the race craft needed to step into larger touring series. Those grassroots years gave him experience on a wide range of track types, from tight bullrings to paved ovals.
White made the move into NASCAR-sanctioned competition through the CASCAR West Series, where he raced for three years from 2004 to 2006. His best result in that stretch came in 2005, when he finished sixth in the standings. That run helped open the door to a longer commitment in Canada’s premier stock car tour, the Pinty’s Series, beginning in 2005.
Jason White Career
Early Career (2004–2006)
White’s first notable NASCAR ladder step came in the CASCAR West Series, where he spent three seasons from 2004 to 2006. Racing regularly on western Canadian ovals, he posted a career-best sixth-place finish in 2005. The series gave him a chance to refine his stock car skills in a structured, points-paying championship.
During this same period, White began racing in the Pinty’s Series, Canada’s top stock car tour, behind the wheel of the No. 21 Powder Ventures Excavating Dodge owned by his wife, Melissa McKenzie. He has continued to campaign that car in the Pinty’s Series every year since 2005, establishing himself as one of the series’ most consistent western Canadian competitors.
NASCAR Canada Series / Pinty’s Series Breakthrough (2005–2020)
White’s Pinty’s Series career began at the 2007 B.C. Dodge Dealers Dodge Avenger 300 in Vernon, and he remained a regular in the series for many seasons. His best championship results came in 2011 and 2013, when he finished eighth in the final standings. Over the course of his career in the series, he collected 22 top-ten finishes without recording a win or a pole.
A major milestone came in 2019, when White became the first driver from western Canada to reach 100 starts in the Pinty’s Series. He closed out his known tenure in the series in 2020, ending the year 13th in the standings after starting the season-opener. White’s longevity in the Pinty’s Series made him a familiar face in Canadian stock car racing.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Debut and Growth (2018–Present)
White made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in 2018 at the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Mosport, driving the No. 33 Chevrolet Silverado for Reaume Brothers Racing. He started 27th and finished 23rd, two laps down, in a solid introduction to one of NASCAR’s national series.
In 2019, White returned to Reaume Brothers Racing and attempted to make the Daytona race, but failed to qualify. He tried again at Daytona in 2020 and earned his first top-ten finish in the series. In 2021, he drove the No. 33 truck in the Daytona season-opener and the following race at the Daytona Road Course. In 2022, he raced the Daytona opener for Reaume Brothers Racing and finished 20th, before failing to qualify later that season at Talladega. In 2023, he returned to drive the No. 34 truck at Daytona and finished 21st. White’s best season result to that point was 42nd in 2024.
ARCA Menards Series (2019–Present)
White made his ARCA Menards Series debut in 2019, driving the No. 11 Chevrolet for Fast Track Racing at Daytona, where he finished 16th. He improved the following year at Daytona in 2020, posting a sixth-place finish for Fast Track Racing. That result gave him his first top-ten ARCA showing and helped build his resume on stock car speedways.
White continued in ARCA with Fast Track Racing, driving the No. 44 Chevrolet in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, he ran near the front at Daytona and was leading on the final lap before being passed, ending up ninth. His best ARCA season result to that point was 55th in 2020, and he has continued to appear in the series.
Reaume Brothers Racing Era (2018–Present)
White has spent the bulk of his national NASCAR career with Reaume Brothers Racing, the team that gave him his Truck Series debut in 2018. The relationship has continued into recent seasons, with White running selected races for the team in the Craftsman Truck Series. The team has provided him the opportunity to compete on some of the biggest stages in North American stock car racing.
Notable Races and Milestones
Daytona International Speedway has been a recurring stage for White’s national series efforts, including his ARCA debut in 2019 and multiple Truck Series attempts with Reaume Brothers Racing. In 2019, he became the first western Canadian driver to reach 100 Pinty’s Series starts, a career-defining personal milestone.
