Joshua White (born May 7, 1991) is an American professional stock car racing driver from Charleston, West Virginia. He has competed part-time in the ARCA Menards Series and the ARCA Menards Series East, driving the No. 03 and No. 86 Ford for Clubb Racing Inc. Early Life and Background
Joshua White was born on May 7, 1991, in Charleston, West Virginia, and grew up in a family that introduced him to vehicles at an early age. According to White, his interest in racing began at eight years old, when his grandfather allowed him to drive his truck around the family farm. His grandmother often rode with him during those early drives around the property, and the experience sparked a lifelong passion for motorsports.
White started racing when he was sixteen, beginning in drag racing before moving into mud bogging at the age of eighteen. In 2007, he competed at Kanawha Valley Motorsports Park, where he won four times in the track’s IHRA Street Modified division. Two years later, he advanced to the track’s IHRA Modified class and added five more victories to his résumé.
Path to NASCAR
In 2010, White enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and attended boot camp at Parris Island. He served as a lance corporal in the USMC’s Ready Reserve program before returning to civilian life and refocusing on his racing career. After completing basic training, he transitioned from drag racing and mud bogging to stock car competition, running IMCA Crate Late Models at I-77 Raceway, where he recorded five top-five finishes and a win.
White made his Automobile Racing Club of America debut in 2012 at Toledo Speedway, finishing thirteenth, and the following year he began competing full-time in the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series for Team Wilson in the No. 9 Ford. He also made his ARCA Racing Series debut in 2013 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield for Hixson Motorsports, retiring early with handling problems. After sitting out the 2014 ARCA season, he returned in 2015 and posted a best finish of twenty-first at Springfield while ending the year twelfth in points.
Josh White Career
Early Career (2013–2015)
White’s early stock car career was built on perseverance and steady progression through regional and developmental racing. Driving for Hixson Motorsports in the ARCA Racing Series, he completed a partial schedule in 2013 and returned in 2015 for a fuller campaign, running seventeen races that season. His best result during this period came at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, where he recorded a twenty-first-place finish.
Off the track, White carried the memory of his grandmother, who died before a 2015 race at Salem Speedway, by placing a memorial decal on his ARCA car. His military service also remained an important part of his identity, balancing reserve duties with his growing racing commitments.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Breakthrough (2016)
White made his NASCAR national series debut in 2016 with Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing at Martinsville Speedway in the Texas Roadhouse 200. The effort was supported by Gulf War veteran David Pack, a business development representative at JJCR and board member with the military charity Driven2Honor, who noticed White’s Facebook post requesting funding to race. White was widely reported at the time as the first Marine to compete in a NASCAR national series event, although historians later noted that ex-Marine Larry Frank had driven in the NASCAR Grand National Series between 1956 and 1966.
After starting thirty-first at Martinsville, White finished thirty-second and last after being involved in a crash on lap 51 with Kyle Donahue. The Martinsville start remains his only known NASCAR national series start to date.
Clubb Racing Inc. Era (2022–Present)
After being without a ride for roughly three years, White returned to competitive racing in 2022 with Clubb Racing Inc. The team announced on January 1, 2022, that he would drive three ARCA races in the No. 03 car at Charlotte, the Illinois State Fairgrounds Racetrack, and Bristol. The Bristol event was a combination race with the ARCA Menards Series East, marking his planned debut in that series.
White finished twenty-fifth at Charlotte after an early crash, which became his only start of the 2022 season. On June 23, 2025, he announced that he would return to ARCA once again with Clubb Racing Inc., driving the No. 03 Ford at Bristol Motor Speedway. That race also counted as his ARCA Menards Series East debut.
Driving Style and Strengths
White’s path through mud bogging, drag racing, and short-track stock car competition has given him a versatile driving background. His experience on tight ovals and dirt-style surface conditions has translated into comfort at short tracks such as Martinsville and the Illinois State Fairgrounds.

White’s signature races include his 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Martinsville Speedway and his 2022 return at Charlotte Motor Speedway with Clubb Racing Inc. His 2025 Bristol Motor Speedway appearance with the team marked his ARCA Menards Series East debut.
