Most recently, he competed part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 15 Toyota Camry for Venturini Motorsports and the No. 70 Camry for Nitro Motorsports, and part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado RST for Young’s Motorsports. Early Life and Background
Lapcevich was born on April 6, 2004, in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada. He grew up in a household steeped in motorsports, with racing woven into the family’s daily life. His father, Jeff Lapcevich, was a seasoned stock car driver who competed in the CASCAR Super Series, CASCAR East, CASCAR West, and the NASCAR Pinty’s Series. Jeff also raced in the Grand-Am Road Racing Series, giving Treyten early exposure to a wide range of cars and tracks.
From a young age, Treyten spent time around shop floors and short-track paddocks, learning the rhythms of race weekends. The family legacy, combined with the demanding Canadian short-track scene around southern Ontario, helped shape his approach to the sport and fueled his ambition to race professionally.
Path to NASCAR
Lapcevich’s climb through the ranks began in Canada’s NASCAR Pinty’s Series, the country’s premier stock car tour. He made his series debut in 2020 at Sunset Speedway as a substitute for Alex Tagliani in the No. 18 car, finishing second in his first start. He also contested the second Sunset event that season, gaining valuable experience as a teenager.
His progression was swift. By 2022, he had earned his first career victory, and by 2023, he had captured the series championship at the age of 19. That title opened doors to American NASCAR development series, including the ARCA Menards Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he began part-time competition in 2025.
