Delhi Hosts Pickleball Stars Ahead of the Tournament

In anticipation of the PWR DUPR India Masters, a lively meet-and-greet pickleball party was hosted in Delhi today. The event featured a vibrant mix of international and Indian pickleball stars, giving fans and amateurs a chance to interact with the pros. The venue was equipped with three courts, where players engaged in friendly matches, sparking excitement for the upcoming tournament. Between matches, players participated in rapid-fire Q&As and casual conversations with the crowd, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Key Figures Join the Action

Vineet Jain, Managing Director of The Times Group, and Pranav Kohli, CEO of PWR, were also present at the event. Jain, eager to immerse himself in the action, took to the court alongside Australian star Sarah Burr, demonstrating the sport’s appeal across all skill levels. Jain and Kohli, along with the professional athletes, shared tips and insights with amateur pickleball enthusiasts, further solidifying the sport’s growing community in India.

A Landmark Event for Indian Pickleball

The meet-and-greet event served as the perfect prelude to the prestigious PWR DUPR India Masters. This PWR700 event, part of the PWR World Tour, is set to make history as the first fully owned and operated PWR tournament in India. With a prize pool of USD 50,000 and 750 competitors—ranging from amateurs to professionals—the tournament promises to be a landmark moment for Indian pickleball, elevating the sport’s profile in the country.
