WPBL Powers Pickleball Championship Series: As India gears up to host the World Pickleball Championship Series for the first time, the World Pickleball League has announced a strategic partnership as the ‘Powered By’ sponsor for the highly anticipated event. Scheduled for November, the World Pickleball Championship will attract around 650 top players from across the globe. This championship follows successful editions held earlier this year in Vietnam and Bali, showcasing the growing popularity of pickleball as a competitive sport. The event in Mumbai promises to deliver an electrifying atmosphere, setting the stage for what’s to come in January 2025 when the WPBL officially launches as India’s first and only franchise-based pickleball league.

Gaurav Natekar, Founder and CEO of WPBL, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership, stating, “Firstly, we would like to congratulate the All India Pickleball Association for their efforts to bring the World Pickleball Championship to India. The tournament, already a global phenomenon, will see the best of Pickleball talent from across the world descending on the island city of Mumbai for an action-packed event. Such tournaments are crucial as they help us identify the talents at the grassroots level. Additionally, it increases the aspirational value of Pickleball worldwide and further strengthens its reputation as one of the fastest-growing sports in India.
