GNG Machine Pickleball Paddle Testing: The Go-No-Go (GNG) Machine has been chosen as the official on-site paddle deflection testing device for both professional and amateur pickleball tournaments worldwide. This decision was announced by Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR), United Pickleball Association – Amateur (UPA-A), and Pickleballtournaments.com in early August. The device will be used at top events in the United States and across several countries to ensure all paddles meet performance standards.
New Standard for Paddle Testing
According to DUPR, the GNG Machine will be installed at its top-tier clubs and sanctioned amateur competitions. The data collected will help create loyalty and trust scores for both players and paddle brands.
“We’re proud to announce the GNG Machine as the official and exclusive on-site testing device for DUPR-sanctioned tournaments,”
said Tito Machado, Chief Executive Officer of DUPR.
“This partnership is about more than just technology, it’s about protecting the integrity of amateur pickleball. With the GNG Machine,
we can quickly and accurately ensure every paddle on the court meets deflection standards. Our goal is to create a level playing field where skill, not equipment, determines the outcome.”
Global Use Across Top Events
The UPA-A plans to use the GNG Machine at its biggest tournaments, including the Amateur State Championship Series, the PPA Challenger Series, the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) and Major League Pickleball (MLP) events in the United States, Australia, and Asia, as well as the Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships in Dallas.
“Partnering with GNG Enterprises represents a major leap forward in our mission to ensure fairness and integrity for competitive play in pickleball,”
said Jason Aspes, President of UPA-A.
“By deploying the GNG Machine for on-site paddle testing, we’re giving players, tournament directors, and fans the confidence that every paddle meets strict performance standards.”
Support from Major Tournament Platform
Pickleballtournaments.com, a leading platform for tournament registration and management, will also use the GNG Machine as its official testing partner. This integration allows tournament organizers to check compliance more consistently and efficiently, improving trust in events.
Impact and Next Steps
With these partnerships, the GNG Machine is expected to become the global benchmark for on-site paddle testing, promoting fairness and transparency. The rollout will start in August at tournaments in the United States before expanding to Australia, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Vietnam, China, and Canada.
