UW-Whitewater Pickleball Tournament: Don’t Miss the Ultimate Summer Showdown

UW-Whitewater Pickleball Tournament: The UW-Whitewater Pickleball Club invites players to their final summer tournament at the Wangerin Tennis Courts, scheduled from August 17 to August 19, 2024. Participants have until August 13 to register, with a registration fee of $30.

This event will accommodate all skill levels with various brackets. For Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles, the brackets are divided into 3.0-3.5, 3.5-4.0, 4.0-4.5, and 4.5+. Men’s and Women’s Singles will be organized into 3.5-4.0, 4.0-4.5, and 4.5+ categories. The tournament aims to provide competitive play for every level.

Attendees can look forward to raffle prizes and special awards for first-place winners in each bracket. While a DUPR rating is not required for participation, players must have a DUPR account to register. The tournament will use Franklin 40-X balls for all matches.

The schedule is as follows: On Saturday morning, Men’s Singles and Women’s Doubles will begin with warmups at 8 AM and gameplay starting at 9 AM. Women’s Singles and Men’s Doubles will commence with warmups at 12:30 PM and gameplay at 1:30 PM. On Sunday morning, Mixed Doubles will have warmups at 8 AM, with gameplay starting at 9 AM.

Proceeds from the tournament will support the UW-Whitewater Pickleball Club, helping students travel and compete against other schools nationwide.
