Kyle Yates Inducted into Pickleball Hall of Fame: Newest Legend

Kyle Yates Inducted into Pickleball Hall of Fame: In an exciting announcement from Colorado Pickleball, Kyle Yates has been selected as one of two professionals to be inducted into the prestigious Pickleball Hall of Fame. This well-deserved recognition will end in an induction ceremony scheduled for November 14 in Mesa, Arizona. Yates’s journey in the world of pickleball has been nothing short of remarkable, marking him as a key figure in the sport’s evolution.

A Strong Foundation in Pickleball

Colorado Pickleball is spearheaded by a group of dedicated businessmen, including Jim Lautzenheiser, Chad Preiss, Randy Halfpop, and, of course, Yates himself. This partnership with Utah-based The Picklr indoor pickleball reflects a commitment to fostering pickleball as a welcoming and accessible sport for players of all generations. The Picklr provides an environment where individuals can learn and enjoy the game comfortably indoors.

Yates’s Journey to the Hall of Fame

At just 29 years old, Yates has already made an indelible mark in the sport. He turned professional in 2015 and relocated to Colorado in 2023, becoming a co-owner of The Picklr Colorado. His vision includes connecting the pickleball communities by expanding The Picklr franchises throughout Colorado and Wyoming.

“I was once told, ‘Find a job you love, and you never have to work a day in your life.’ Well, I’ve found that through pickleball. I’m excited to keep sharing that pickleball passion with the rest of the world, especially right here at home in Colorado.” – (yates)

A Legacy of Achievement

Yates’s path in athletics began with tennis and soccer in Florida, where he discovered pickleball at the age of 15 in 2011. He quickly rose through the ranks, clinching the US Open Pro Pickleball Championship title at just 21 years old—a feat he would replicate seven times in the following years. His skills were further acknowledged in 2018 when the World Pickleball Federation named him the number-one ranked player.

Yates’s impressive accolades don’t stop there; he has secured seven U.S. Open pro doubles titles, two Tournament of Champions pro doubles titles, and four USAP National Championships pro doubles titles. In the same year, the World Pickleball Federation recognized him as the world’s top doubles player.

Continuing to Inspire

Beyond his impressive record, Yates has also made significant contributions to Major League Pickleball, competing for five seasons and actively participating in the Association of Pickleball Players tour. His commitment to the sport is evident as he competes internationally while promoting pickleball globally. Currently, he is the first-round draft pick for the Brisbane Breakers MLP team in Australia, further solidifying his role as a leading figure in the sport.
