Tim Richmond has announced he will compete in up to four races in the 2026 ARCA Menards Series, confirming details to Frontstretch. He will drive the No. 27 car prepared by Empire Racing Group, continuing his partnership with the team for a second consecutive year.
Richmond’s Upcoming Race Locations and Track History
Richmond’s schedule begins at Daytona International Speedway, where he secured a 15th-place qualifying spot for his first start at the 2.5-mile supespeedway. He has raced six times at Daytona before, achieving his best finish of fifth in 2024. If his performance at Daytona is positive, Richmond plans to race at Talladega Superspeedway, a track where he also has six starts, although four of those ended in DNFs.
As a native of Ottawa, Illinois, Richmond will compete at Chicagoland Speedway on July 3, returning to his home track. The last ARCA event at this 1.5-mile circuit was in 2019, where Richmond finished 12th, his best showing on this track.
His 2026 season will conclude with a race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Richmond has participated twice at this short track, recording two 16th-place finishes.
Career Overview and ARCA Experience
Throughout his career, Richmond has made 60 ARCA series starts, with one top-five and two top-ten finishes. His rookie year in 2019, where he ended eighth in the overall points standings, remains his most complete season; he only ran at least half the schedule in 2019 and 2020. These upcoming races mark an important moment as he navigates a partial schedule aiming for strong results.
