Springfest Pickleball Tournament 2025: The 5th edition of Springfest, a pickleball tournament for players aged 55 and above, will take place at École Le Domaine in Petit-Rocher, New Brunswick. The event is scheduled for May 3 to May 4, 2025.
Registration for the tournament opened on December 15, 2024, with early bird fees for one event set at $35 CAD and $60 CAD for two events. After January 15, 2025, the fees will increase to $40 CAD for one event and $65 CAD for two events. Players must have a DUPR account to register.
Tournament Format and Structure
Springfest will feature a round-robin followed by single-elimination matches. In the round robin, teams will compete to 11 points, with a win by 2. After the round-robin, the top 6 teams or the top 3 teams from each pool will move on to the playoffs. Playoff games will be played to 15 points, with a win by 2. The bronze medal match will consist of one game to 15 points, while the final match will be best 2 out of 3 games to 11 points.
Depending on the number of registrations, events may be combined. The tournament will prioritize combinations within the same skill level, though age category combinations may occur.
Early Registration and Fees
Early bird registration is available until January 15, 2025. Players registering early can save on fees. The one-event early bird fee is $35, while the two-event fee is $60. After the deadline, prices will rise to $40 for one event and $65 for two events.
For those unable to attend the April tournament, an additional 54 and under event has been added. The tournament encourages players to register soon, as spaces are limited.
Refund and Withdrawal Policy
A refund policy is in place for those who wish to withdraw. Players can request a refund, minus a $10 administrative fee. No refunds will be given for withdrawals or changes after April 4, 2025, at 11:55 p.m.
Venue and Parking
The tournament will be held at École Le Domaine, located at 636 Rue Principale in Petit-Rocher. There is no fee for parking at the venue.
