CNPL Pickleball Coaching Clinic: Some of North America’s top pickleball professionals will lead a two-hour coaching clinic on July 18, 2025, at the Inclusive Place of Pickleball in Burnaby, British Columbia. Hosted by the Canadian National Pickleball League, the session is designed to help players sharpen key skills through expert instruction.
The CNPL Coaching Clinic will feature instructors such as Armaan Jiwa-Mawji, Christina Chin, Wes Gabrielsen, and other players from the Canadian National Pickleball League. The clinic will be divided into two sessions based on player ratings: one from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. for players below a 3.5 rating, and another from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for players rated 3.5 and above.
Skills-Focused Format in a Small Group Setting
Each session will follow a “jamboree” format, giving participants hands-on experience in four essential pickleball areas: drop and drive shots, the transition zone, non-volley zone strategy, and fast hands. The structured setting is ideal for intermediate and advancing players looking to refine their tactics and timing ahead of competition.
Held at the Inclusive Place of Pickleball located at 9855 Austin Road #2 in Burnaby, each session is capped at 20 players. This smaller group size allows for focused coaching and plenty of personalized feedback.
The cost is $75 CAD per person. Players are required to register in advance via Showpass.
Building Player Skills Ahead of CNPL Action
With the 2025 CNPL Western Split set to begin the next day, this clinic offers amateur players a unique chance to train with the same professionals competing in Canada’s premier pickleball league.
The involvement of coaches like Armaan Jiwa-Mawji, Christina Chin, and Wes Gabrielsen adds further credibility and excitement to the event. These athletes bring experience and insight that could help shape the next generation of elite Canadian pickleball players.
