AF Corse Confirms Schandorff and Companc for Ferrari 296 GT3

AF Corse has revealed that Frederik Schandorff and Matias Perez Companc will pilot its Pro class Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo entry in the upcoming GT World Challenge America powered by AWS. This announcement builds on the team’s strong presence in endurance racing and highlights their commitment to competing at the highest level with the Ferrari 296 GT3.

Driver Backgrounds and Racing Programs

Frederik Schandorff, known for his race-winning performances with Ferrari in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, will maintain a demanding schedule this season. Besides competing in GT World Challenge America, he will race with Inception Racing in the IMSA GTD category and also participate in GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, all behind the wheel of the Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo.

Matias Perez Companc brings experience from Ferrari Challenge North America and has recently raced with AF Corse’s LMP2 program in the WeatherTech Championship, marking a step forward in his GT3 career.

Team Entries and Additional Drivers for the Season

The provisional entry list, released earlier in the day, includes AF Corse’s No. 12 Ferrari among the 21 cars set to compete. The Italian outfit, which maintains a base in Charlotte, also confirmed the return of its 2025 Am class championship-winning No. 163 Ferrari driven by Ozz Negri and Jay Schreibman.

Further expanding its participation, AF Corse will field a Ferrari in GT America powered by AWS, where Rodin Younessi will take the wheel for the team this year.
