Brandon Lane Battles Illness as Mumbai Pickle Power Fight Through to World Pickleball League Semi-Finals!

World Pickleball League Semi-Finals: Mumbai Pickle Power concluded their league campaign in the World Pickleball League with a 4-1 defeat against Bengaluru Jawans at the Cricket Club of India. Mumbai’s Fighting Effort Falls Short

Mumbai’s campaign ended on a tough note as key player Brandon Lane battled illness but still competed in men’s singles. He fought hard but fell 26-10 to Jack Foster. As per the rules, had he forfeited men’s singles, he could have been replaced in mixed doubles, but he chose to compete despite his condition.

In women’s doubles, Glauka Carvajal Lane and Sabrina Dominguez put up a valiant fight against Trang Huynh McClain and Alejandra Borobia Lopez. The match remained neck-and-neck at 11-11, but Bengaluru sealed a crucial late point to take a 2-0 lead.

Mihae Kwon faced a determined Katerina Stewart in women’s singles. Despite an early second-half comeback, Mihae lost 22-14 as Stewart controlled the pace in the final moments to seal Bengaluru’s victory.

Mumbai found success in men’s doubles as Kim Eung Gwon and Mayur Patil delivered a dominant 22-6 win over Marcello Jardim and Felix Grunert. Their impeccable teamwork ensured Mumbai finished the match on a strong note.
