Indian Pickleball Champions Dominate Grand Rally International Tournament With Record Medal Haul in Malaysia and Vietnam

Grand Rally International Tournament Medals: Indian pickleball athletes delivered impressive results at three major international tournaments in 2025, collecting multiple medals in Malaysia and Vietnam. Players competed in the Grand Rally International Tournament, the WPC Grand Slam in Malaysia, and the Asian Pickleball University Championship in Da Nang, Vietnam, earning gold, silver, and bronze medals across several events.

Wins in Malaysia: Grand Rally and WPC Grand Slam

At the Grand Rally International Tournament in Malaysia, Sonu Kumar Vishwakarma won the gold medal in the Open Men’s Singles and also earned bronze in the Open Men’s Doubles. Tejas Mahajan claimed gold in the Men’s Doubles, silver in Men’s Singles, and played a key role in helping the Indian team win gold in the Team Event.

In the WPC Grand Slam held in Malaysia, Sonu Kumar Vishwakarma continued his winning streak with another gold medal in the Open Men’s Singles. Kuldip Mahajan added to India’s medal count by securing a bronze medal in the same category, according to the All India Pickleball Association.

Indian University Players Excel in Vietnam

At the Asian Pickleball University Championship in Da Nang, Vietnam, Indian university athletes also stood out. Vrushali Thakare and Anuja Maheshwari won the silver medal in Women’s Doubles. Vrushali Thakare then paired with Vanshik Kapadia to win gold in Mixed Doubles. Anuja Maheshwari and Mayur Patil secured a bronze medal in the same category.
