Juncos Hollinger Racing Signs Rising Star Alexander Koreiba

Juncos Hollinger Racing announced the addition of Alexander Koreiba to its INDY NXT by Firestone driver lineup for the upcoming season, where he will team up with Ricardo Escotto. This signing marks a significant move for the Indianapolis-based team as they prepare for the season opener on March 1 at the Streets of St. Petersburg.

Koreiba’s Background and Previous Racing Experience

Originally from Branson, Missouri, 28-year-old Koreiba impressed the Juncos Hollinger Racing team during the annual Chris Griffis Memorial Test held last fall at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. His experience spans several years competing in the IMSA racing series, where he demonstrated strong capabilities in the HSR Prototype Challenge pro-am class.

During this period, Koreiba secured three victories, contributing to an LMP3 entry winning the five-race season championship. In his debut IMSA season in 2022, Koreiba partnered with INDYCAR SERIES veteran Memo Gidley and achieved a notable win at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, showcasing his competitive edge and growth in sports car racing.

Upcoming Season Prospects and Team Outlook

The 2024 INDY NXT schedule begins early next year, with Juncos Hollinger Racing aiming to build on its driver development goals through promising talent like Koreiba. His signing highlights the team’s commitment to nurturing emerging drivers with substantial racing credentials while competing on well-known venues, including the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

With the season kickoff approaching, expectations remain optimistic yet measured as Koreiba adapts to the INDY NXT environment and collaborates closely with teammate Ricardo Escotto. This partnership could play a pivotal role in shaping the competitive dynamics of the season.
