Texas A&M University announced it will sponsor the No. 60 IndyCar driven by Felix Rosenqvist for the 2026 season, marking its first full IndyCar sponsorship. The Aggie maroon colors will be featured for the first time at the inaugural Java House Grand Prix of Arlington, accompanied by a custom helmet designed by Troy Lee Designs specifically for the race weekend.
The sponsorship includes a helmet partnership along with a season-long associate role for the Meyer Shank Racing team’s entry. Designers strategically placed the university’s logo for optimal visibility in in-car camera shots and close-ups across all 18 race weekends, aiming to maximize exposure during broadcasts.
Texas A&M will emphasize three themes that align naturally with the calendar and the sports: A Force For Good in Texas, in American innovation and in national service, security and defense,
the university stated in a press release.
A History of Motorsports Involvement for Texas A&M
Texas A&M is no stranger to high-level motorsports sponsorships. In 2024, the university invested $160,000 to feature its branding on two Stewart-Haas Racing cars competing in the NASCAR Cup Series. This involvement reflects Texas A&M’s broader interest in motorsports as a platform for engagement and visibility.

Felix Rosenqvist, the driver of the No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Honda, carried the Texas A&M logo on his helmet during the 2025 IndyCar season, where he earned a sixth-place finish in the overall championship standings.
I’m proud to continue my partnership with Texas A&M for the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series season,
Rosenqvist said.
It’s been incredible to represent such a respected university with a passionate and engaged community behind it. The support from Aggieland has meant a lot to me, and I’m excited to keep building on what we’ve started together. We have a big season ahead, and I’m motivated to deliver strong results on track while continuing to connect with the students, former students and fans who make this partnership so special.
Extending Sponsorship Across Multiple Racing Series
Beyond IndyCar, Texas A&M will also be a season-long associate sponsor of the Haas Factory Team in NASCAR, supporting driver Cole Custer and his No. 41 Chevrolet Camaro. On June 21, during the Anduril 250 at Naval Base Coronado near San Diego, Texas A&M will serve as the primary sponsor, showcasing a special military appreciation livery honoring service members.
Significance of Texas A&M’s Expansion into IndyCar Sponsorship
Texas A&M’s move to a prominent sponsorship role in IndyCar presents a strategic opportunity to amplify its brand within the motorsports world, highlighting themes central to the university’s identity, such as innovation, service, and community. This partnership with Meyer Shank Racing, combined with participation in NASCAR events, bolsters the university’s visibility among racing fans while fostering stronger ties with its extensive network of students, alumni, and supporters. Looking ahead, Texas A&M’s presence on the 2026 racing calendar signals a growing commitment to sports marketing, with potential to influence both the motorsports landscape and the university’s engagement initiatives.
