Lucas Giolito’s Girlfriend Slams Trump and Hockey Team Remarks

Lucas Giolito’s girlfriend, Madalana, openly criticized former President Donald Trump and comments he made to the U.S. men’s ice hockey team following their victory at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Her remarks reflect growing frustration over what she perceives as disrespect toward the women’s team and the broader issues surrounding gender equality.

The United States men’s ice hockey team triumphed over Canada to secure the gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics. FBI Director Kash Patel attended the game and celebrated with the athletes afterward. Patel connected with Trump via FaceTime so the president could personally congratulate the team. However, Trump’s subsequent remarks sparked controversy.

Controversy Over Trump’s Remarks to the U.S. Men’s Hockey Team

During the congratulatory FaceTime call, Trump suggested that the White House would host the men’s team in the future and said,

“What would really be cool, and we’ll do the White House next time, we’ll just have some fun, we have medals for you guys.”

He added,

“And we have to, I must tell you, we’re gonna have to bring the women’s team, you do know that?”

After laughter from the team, Trump continued,

“I do believe that I would probably be impeached (if he didn’t invite the women’s team).”

Madalana posted a clip of this exchange on her Instagram story on Monday, voicing her outrage. She captioned it,

“What the literal f**k is funny about including the women’s team who also won gold?!,” Madalana wrote. “Why is it a war on women. None of you would be f**cking her without A WOMAN.”

It is important to note that the U.S. women’s ice hockey team also won the gold medal at these Olympics but declined the invitation to the State of the Union speech due to prior commitments.

Madalana’s Response to Tennessee Legislature’s Abortion Bill

Earlier this year, Tennessee lawmakers proposed an amendment to House Bill 570/Senate Bill 738 aiming to categorize abortion as homicide, which could lead to life imprisonment or even the death penalty for those involved. Sponsored by Representative Jody Barrett and Senator Mark Pody, the bill has been sent to the House Population Health Subcommittee for further consideration.

Madalana used her social media platform to express her anger about this legislation by resharing related news with pointed captions:

“If you don’t have a vagina, you shouldn’t even be making these decisions,” she wrote. “How is this even a f**king thing?”

“What the fuck! How about get a f**king vasectomy if you have issues with abortion!” she added. “Would save everyone a lot of fucking time and trouble.”

Background on Lucas Giolito and Madalana’s Relationship

Lucas Giolito has been dating Madalana since at least early 2024. Previously, he was married to Ariana Dubelko, his high school sweetheart, from December 2018 until their divorce in July 2023. Madalana’s outspoken criticism reflects a broader engagement with social and political issues, often intersecting with Giolito’s public profile.

Her vocal stance highlights ongoing tensions in American politics surrounding gender rights and representation, especially in the context of widely viewed events such as the Olympics and legislative debates.
