A right-handed hitter, Hoskins spent his first six MLB seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies before a torn ACL in 2023 spring training sidelined him for the entire season. Despite this setback weakening his market value, he secured a two-year, $34 million contract with the Milwaukee Brewers. In 2024, Hoskins posted a .214 batting average with 26 home runs and 82 RBIs. His 2025 campaign started stronger, hitting .242 with 12 homers and 42 RBIs in the first three months, but a thumb injury in July prevented him from reclaiming his lineup spot once he returned late in the season. “It’s just about finding ways to get guys on base in front of him and, hopefully, provide some protection so that he can get some better pitches. So, hopefully I do fit.”

In 2016, his now-wife Jayme interned with the Cleveland Browns, and the couple lived in Lakewood while witnessing memorable moments such as Cleveland’s victory over the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series at Progressive Field. Hoskins recalled,
“I had just finished my Double-A season. It was Josh Tomlin vs. J.A. Happ and (Carlos) Santana hit a home run. We had a little studio apartment. So, there are a lot of good memories there.”
