The Atlanta Braves announced that starting with the 2026 baseball season, BravesVision will serve as the team’s official local television network. This new platform, owned and operated by the Braves organization, aims to deliver a more direct and innovative viewing experience for fans across the team’s six-state regional territory, addressing long-standing broadcast rights challenges.
Comprehensive Coverage and Viewing Options for Fans
BravesVision plans to air over 140 games during the 2026 regular season, accompanied by extensive pre-game and post-game shows. To ensure broad accessibility without blackout restrictions, the Braves will offer multiple options for fans to watch the games. These include partnerships with cable, satellite, and streaming providers through a direct-to-distributor model, with channel details to be announced as deals are finalized.
In addition, BravesVision will be accessible via Major League Baseball’s Braves.TV streaming service. Subscribers will be able to view all regular season Braves games not subject to national exclusivity, and can also opt for an out-of-market package to watch games from every MLB team.
Continuing a collaboration with Gray Media, select BravesVision games will be broadcast over-the-air for free in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast via Gray’s network of stations. The specific schedule of these free broadcasts will be released prior to Opening Day.
Braves Leadership Expresses Optimism for Enhanced Fan Engagement
Braves President and CEO Derek Schiller highlighted the significance of bringing the broadcast back under team control, stating,
“This endeavor will bring the most vital link to our fanbase – our television broadcast – back under the control of our organization,”
He further reflected on the shared history between the team and its fans through broadcasting, adding,
“Generations of Braves fans were raised watching games on a network that shared ownership with the baseball team. With BravesVision, we believe that we can present Braves baseball in new and innovative ways allowing us to expand and elevate our storytelling capabilities across all of our platforms.”
Looking Ahead to BravesVision’s Impact on Baseball Broadcasting
The launch of BravesVision marks a pivotal move for the Atlanta Braves, signaling a shift toward greater control over content distribution and fan interaction. By offering multiple viewing platforms without blackouts and enhancing programming depth, the Braves hope to foster stronger connections with their fanbase. As distribution agreements and broadcast schedules are finalized, fans can anticipate clearer access to Braves games and fresh storytelling approaches beginning in 2026.
