The Milwaukee Brewers secured the best overall record in baseball last year, but their hopes of a World Series title were dashed in the postseason. Christian Yelich, despite having a notable personal season in 2025, maintained his focus on team success rather than individual stats when discussing the year’s outcome.
It didn’t end the way we wanted it to, we didn’t play our best last couple days in the postseason,
Yelich said, via MLB Network.
Overall, throughout the course of the season, it was a great year for our team. It was nice to be healthy and back out there and able to play at a high level again. It was a lot of fun last year for a lot of reasons. It was a fun group to be a part of, it was a special season for sure.
Yelich’s Individual Performance and Spring Preparation
At 34 years old, Christian Yelich is heading into spring training fresh off a productive campaign. In 2025, he appeared in 150 games, tallying a .264 batting average with a .343 on-base percentage and a .452 slugging percentage over 644 plate appearances. During the season, he hit 29 home runs, recorded 21 doubles, and drove in 103 runs. Although he was not selected as an All-Star, his contributions remained integral to the Brewers’ roster.
The Ongoing Pursuit of a Championship
Despite a strong individual showing, Yelich’s overarching ambition is to secure a World Series championship, a feat he has not yet accomplished in his career. With the Brewers boasting a talented group and coming off a highly competitive year, Yelich’s hope is to use the momentum from 2025 to fuel a deep playoff run in 2026 and finally reach the Fall Classic.
