St Louis CITY2 has secured midfielder Chris Pearson on a one-year contract in MLS NEXT Pro, with an option for the club to extend through June 2027. The move brings Pearson, who has accumulated over 80 professional appearances, to CITY2 following his stint with the USL Championship’s Las Vegas Lights in 2025.

Pearson, known for his defensive strength and attacking ability, last appeared in 22 matches for Las Vegas Lights, amassing 1,076 minutes in the 2025 season. Prior to that, he played 18 games with Columbus Crew 2 in 2024, contributing two goals and two assists while helping the team reach the MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference Final. His professional journey began in 2022 with Cavalier FC in the Jamaican Premier League, followed by time at FC Tulsa and a loan to Huntsville City FC during the 2023 season.

The Montego Bay native is also a former Jamaican U-20 international and received call-ups to the senior Jamaican national team during the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against El Salvador, Canada, and Honduras.
