Orlando City Locks Eduard Atuesta in New Long-Term Deal

Orlando City announced on Thursday the signing of midfielder Eduard Atuesta to a contract extension lasting through the 2028-29 MLS season, with an option to continue into 2029-30. This agreement ensures the Colombian international will remain a key player for the club in the coming years.

Atuesta’s Impressive First Season and Career Achievements

The 28-year-old midfielder delivered seven assists over 28 regular-season appearances, including 25 starts, during his debut campaign with the Lions in 2025. Atuesta’s MLS experience spans 152 matches, combining periods at Los Angeles FC and Orlando City, where he has accumulated 11 goals and 36 assists. His accolades include a selection to the MLS Best XI in 2019, MLS All-Star honors in 2021, and victories in the 2019 Supporters’ Shield and the 2024 U.S. Open Cup with LAFC.
