ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos have extended the contract of tight end Adam Trautman, signing him to a new three-year deal announced Monday. This move keeps Trautman, a key offensive player, with the team for the foreseeable future.
Consistent Contributor on Offense for Denver
Trautman has played in all 54 games, including regular season and playoffs, during his three years with the Broncos, starting 40 of those contests. He has been an important element in both the run game and passing attack, catching 55 passes for 587 yards and six touchdowns. Over the past three seasons, Trautman has consistently taken on a major role, playing in at least half of Denver’s offensive snaps, peaking at 57 percent in 2025.
Background and Team Continuity
The 2020 third-round NFL Draft pick joined Denver in 2023 via trade after spending his first three professional seasons (2020-22) with the New Orleans Saints. Trautman becomes the second Broncos player recently to secure a contract extension, following offensive lineman Alex Palczewski.
Implications for the Broncos’ Offense
Retaining Trautman reinforces the Broncos’ offensive stability and depth heading into upcoming seasons. His reliable presence and experience are expected to contribute positively to the team’s offensive schemes and overall performance moving forward.
