World Pickleball League Welcomes Bengaluru Jawans: Bengaluru Jawans has officially joined the World Pickleball League (WPBL) as its newest franchise, owned by filmmaker Atlee and his wife, Priya Atlee. The WPBL, co-founded by former Indian tennis players Gaurav Natekar and Arati Ponnappa Natekar, will begin on January 24. The league features six franchises and a total of 48 players from India and around the world competing at the highest level of pickleball.

New Franchise Joins Exciting League

The addition of Bengaluru Jawans marks Atlee and Priya’s entry into the sports world, driven by their passion for pickleball. They aim to support the growth of the league and create a vibrant community around the sport.

The Jawans’ roster is impressive, highlighted by Indian star Vrushali Thakare, known as ‘Hammer Thakare’ for her dynamic playing style. She is joined by international players Jack Foster, Katerina Stewart, Trang Hyunh McClain, Marcelo Jardim, Alejandra Bobaria, Felix Grunert, and Mauro Garcia, forming a formidable team.
