Event Details
During this three-hour session, five courts will be available for play, ensuring plenty of action and a chance to socialize. For break, the curling club lounge offers a perfect spot to recharge.
Skill Level Groups
In this session, players will be matched with others at their skill level, divided into four groups based on current dupr.com/” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>DUPR ratings or estimated skill levels:
- 4+
- 3.5 – 3.99
- 3 – 3.49
- < 3 / no rating
The skill distribution depends on who signs up, and all scores will be recorded in the DUPR system.

- Players per Session: 30 max (5 courts)
- Session Format: Coordinated play sessions
- Membership Requirement: Membership in the Vancouver Pickleball Association and the VPA DUPR Club is required. The VPA will handle score entry, ensuring consistent and competitive play to enhance rating accuracy.
- Entry Fee: $11 + PB Canada processing fee (NON-REFUNDABLE)

The Vancouver Park Board is transforming the Vancouver Curling Club at Hillcrest Community Centre into a pickleball venue from mid-May to mid-August. The Vancouver Pickleball Association (VPA) has secured time slots for member events on Friday evenings and Saturdays. One highlight is the Friday Night DUPR Pickleball on August 9th, 2024, from 6:00-9:00 PM. Players can improve their Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR) by competing in skill-matched groups. The event accommodates up to 30 players, and VPA membership is required. The entry fee is $11 plus a non-refundable processing fee.
