The Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League held a fan rally at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama, on Saturday as part of their preparations for the 2026 season opening on April 18. The event aimed to energize the Stallions fan base, known as the Horsemen, and created a space for players and coaches to connect with supporters directly.

During the rally, fans had the chance to meet key team members, including head coach and former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron. Attendees engaged in various family-friendly activities such as autograph sessions, photo opportunities, cornhole games, and face painting. Longtime fan Colton Ware expressed his admiration for McCarron and his enthusiasm for the Stallions.
“AJ McCarron was my favorite quarterback from Alabama when I was growing up,”
Ware said.
“I’m here today to support the Stallions and AJ. I’ve been coming down here since, what, five years ago when it first started. And I love the Stallions, love football in general, but it’s just a good springtime fun event.”
Lisa Williams highlighted how the community around the team has expanded.
“We’re a great tailgate group it blossomed into a big fan group called the horsemen,”
Williams explained.
“But we’re here yelling and screaming and making as much noise as we can, and the coaches and teams can hear, and it really affects them, so we’re proud to be apart of it.”
