San Antonio’s New Pickleball Hub: A new pickleball club is set to open in San Antonio this March. Dill Dinkers, a Maryland-based franchise, will launch a 15,500-square-foot indoor pickleball facility on Blanco Rd. The location will offer five courts designed to help players avoid injuries.
The new facility, located at 18450 Blanco Rd., aims to provide a space for pickleball enthusiasts to enjoy the sport year-round. The courts will feature cushioned surfaces to protect players’ knees and ankles, making the sport more accessible for people of all ages and skill levels.
Affordable Access for All
Dill Dinkers will not require a membership to play, though members will receive benefits like priority access and lower booking rates. Annual memberships are now available, priced at $340 for individuals, $637.50 for couples, and $977.50 for families of up to five people.
In addition to court rentals, Dill Dinkers will offer clinics, lessons, and regularly scheduled programming to help players improve their skills.
Brian Birdy, the franchisee for the San Antonio location, explained the goal of the new facility:
“Pickleball is more than just a sport – it’s a way to bring people together and build community. We’re excited to create a space where everyone can stay active and enjoy the game.”-(Brian Birdy)
Filling a Growing Demand
As pickleball continues to grow in popularity, the new facility aims to meet the increasing demand for indoor courts. San Antonio is ready for more dedicated spaces, and Dill Dinkers hopes to be a part of the city’s pickleball boom. With its accessible pricing and focus on community, the facility will cater to players at all levels.
